OPI - My Address is "Hollywood"

There's something about this polish that make me love it so much. <3 I wore this color for whole last week and I got lots of compliment.

"My Address is Hollywood" is a part of OPI's Touring America Fall 2011 collection. Dusty rose color with amazing gold but subtle shimmer which is more visible in person than on pictures. I really like this subtle shimmer, which makes this polish perfect. It looks like you're wearing a creme but when you look closer, you can see tiny sparkles. <3 I just read how Scrangie described it back then. xD See, different tastes. :)

There's still some VNL on picture, which wasn't visible in person, so I added just 2 coats. Application is smooth and brush is amazing - I just love OPI's brush!

The worst part of this beauty is taking pictures, it's not fotogenic at all. :/

I will definitely wore it once again soon. What do you think? I would say it looks too orange on sun pictures, imagine it's more dusty in person. :) Do you have your favorite from Touring America collection? That's the only one I wanted, other colors are way to dark for my taste.

If you follow me on Twitter, you probably already saw it but here it is once again. Kitty I showed you here is staying temporary with us for almost a whole month now and I think my phone memory card is already full of his pictures and videos, yap obsessed. xD

Ha! Gotcha! He loves polish too. xD
Priceless moment caught with my phone. <3

Wish you all a nice beggining of the week. I'm staying at home till Wednesday because of the Holidays here in Slovenia and it feels great. Like a longer weekend, yay. :b

Swap with Tammy from Canadian Nail Fanatic

I've so few packages to show you but let's start with the first I got quite a few weeks ago. :)

I don't know if you are familiar with Tammy but she runs a blog at Canadian Nail Fanatic. You can find lots of amazing stamping manicures, so be sure you'll check her out. :) Long time ago she had a giveaway, where she's giving away quite a few bottles of Merry Midnight. I knew there're tiny chances to win it, so I contacted her if maybe she has any bottles left. :$

Merry Midnight

Yap, she had it and now it's all mineeeeeeeee. <3 I know there's a close dupe from Orly's Birds of Feather collection Fowl Play, which I also want (you can never have enough of gorgeous flakie like this :$) but having Merry Midnight in my hands is just... Amazing. :b You probably know that some are selling MM for high prices and I just can't afford it so thank you Tammy for sending me this stunning beauty. :h

She also sent me some of OPI polishes I had on my WL. <3

Steady as She Rose
Mod About You
Crown me Already

Last but not least,as an extra she included her favorite pink, which is really amazing, another flakie polish <3 and some nail stickers and rhinstones, which are lost somewhere in my room. I really need to clean my room. xo

Cosmo - One Track Mind
Maybelline Colorama TC Ruby Rays

I was so excited when I got her package and I still am when I saw all my new babies. :)

Thank you soooo much. :h

Do you own Merry Midnight? Isn't this polish just amazing? <3 Can't wait to try all my new toys. I'm so busy with my study so I'm wearing same manicure for whole week. I have no idea when I'll be able to try them all. xo One by one and one day I'll get there. :D

Thank you so much for reading! :rainbow

Halloween Manicure & Review

Long time no see, right? :P Being busy and lazy are the reasons for being away for almost a whole week. :$ I didn't expect I'll do a manicure for Halloween because we don't celebrate Halloween like some of you, but it's becoming more and more popular.

I got a chance to test out another product from Born Pretty Store. I saw a lot of amazing manicures made with Acrylic Color, that's why I always wanted to try it out.

Here's what I came up with for Halloween, but please keep in mind that I'm not good with free hand designs and this manicure obviously isn't perfect like I'd want it to be. :D

Essence - Found my Love / 2 coats
Petites Color Fever Zodiac / sponged
KIKO - #255 Viola Microglitter / sponged
Golden Rose Nail Art - #112

Huh lots of information. xD I was trying to find same set I got from Born Pretty, but I can't find it right now, but I think this one looks pretty similar. I got 12 tubes of 9 ml Acrylic color, 2 palletes for mixing the colors and 2 thin nail art brushes.

I really like this set, because you really get all you need for painting your nails. Acrylic color is really easy to work with and very pigmented so you don't need to paint twice or even more for fully opaque designs. I mix them with water to get that smooth formula. All you need is steady hand and lots of imagination for designs, just be creative! You get a whole set for around $10 but youcan also use code IRJ61 for 10% off on your order. ;)

So, what do you think? I was so proud when I got so many compliments for this manicure. :D Will you make a special manicure just for Halloween?

I wish you all an awesome weekend!

Make it Golden, Chuck!

I'm sick so I stayed in bed for whole 2 days now and my weekend probably won't be any better. I have a cold and my nose is killing me. Uh and this cold weather makes everything even worse. :ice

Glitters, glitters... <3 Something that always cheer me up at least a bit. :) Chuck can be gorgeous on his own too but I just had to add something. I didn't stamp for quite some time so I decided to try my new glitter polish.

Essence probably took inspiration for these glitters at Deborah Lippmann's glitters. I'm sure you all already know that Blue Addicted is a quite close dupe for Across the Universe, Make it Golden really reminds me of Boom Boom Pow and Time for Romance of Some enchanted Forest (but this one has clear base and Time for Romance has sheer magenta base). I don't own any of them so I can't make comparisons, but let's say these are very close or at least that they're related. xD

Make it Golden has a clear base with lots of two sized hexagon glitter and gold micro glitter, which looks like a golden dust on nail. <3 It's pretty sheer so it's perfect for layering, I'm sure you can create lots of different combinations with this beauty.

Chuck & Make it Golden
I didn't have any problems with application, I added 2 coats for more glittery effect and a layer of TC to smooth the surface.

I'm a bit late but I did a guest post at Colores de Carol a while ago. :e I was so happy when Carolina asked me. She has an amazing blog so be sure you'll check her out. <3

Click on the picture to see the whole post.

I did a Hello Kitty manicure, because I knew that Carolina loves her. :) I hope you'll like it too!

Thanks for reading and commenting! <3 Have a great weekend!

Essence - Chuck

I guess I'll dissapear every week till Thursday. :D Here I am, finally full of energy after long long sleep and ready for posting. Well, I actually don't even know why I'm posting these pictures, because they are totally color inaccurate. xo

I really love true, royal blue nail colors without any hints of green. When my friend Veri lent me Chuck, I's 100% sure I'll love it but I didn't try it out till last week.

Chuck is a part of Essence's Nail Art Twins, his twin in set is Blair, named after Chuck & Blair from Gossip Girl I think? I don't watch that show. xD
Chuck is such an amazing blue with some purple undertones (btw even very hard to describe) very pigmented creme nail polish. You can get away with only one thick coat, but I added 2 thin coats.

These pictures aren't collor accurate, especially the last one on sun but I tried so many lightnings and settings and it was always too dark, too blue, etc. xo If you have it, you  know what I'm talking about. :$

I wish I could show you true color of this beauty! If you don't have it, you need it because it's really beautiful blue. <3 I'd recommend you to check this blue comparison made by Nailside so you could get the idea how does Chuck look like compared to other blues. :)

What do you think? Like it or not?

Very Berry, it's Time for Romance!

I can't believe it's Sunday already. :/ Time just flies by way too fast as I'd want to. ^_^

Essence released lots of new polishes from Color&Go line and when I stood in front of the whole rack, lots of colors seem to be so dark and weird for my taste just the glitters caught my eyes. So I skipped all of those weird colors for now and picked just 2 glitters and one of them I'm showing you today. :)

I had Very Berry on my nails so I decided to upgrade it a bit. I picked Time for Romance - sheer dark magenta base with large magenta hexagon glitter, magenta micro glitter and also some of holographic micro glitter. Holographic particles are more visible in bottle as on nail so don't expect having a rainbow on your nails though. :) It's more on a sheer side but it can be build up to full opacity with 3 coats or even more.

Time for Romance & Very Berry
First I added just one coat, it changes the base color a bit, glitter is very dense even with just one coat. <3

On a third day I added one coat more and finished it with coat of TC to smooth the surface. The color with 2 coats became more darker and richer, I'll definitely wear this again. Soooo pretty. :L

I really fell in love with this glitter polish! Great job Essence! <3 What do you think? Do you like it? Will you buy it?

I know lots of you don't want to use glitter just because of the hard removal process. Make your life easier and try Foil Method. Works like a charm without rubbing the glitter off, all you need is glitter on your nails, cottons pads, nail polish remover and foil. :D

Have a great Sunday dear readers and followers and thanks for reading! :h

Essence - Very Berry

Thursdays are my favorite at the moment, because I don't have lessons today. I can sleep longer and it feels great, because I get so tired in just 2 days. I actually wanted to post something but I didn't have energy to schedule the posts so I decided to be away until I have enough energy to prepare a post like I used to.

I've such a beautiful shade for you today. :L I got this pretty polish months ago from Tinna and I already knew I love it but never had a chance to actually put it on nails so I decided to wear it this week.
Very Berry was released in March and it's actually very close to Splash of Grenadine by Essie. That's my favorite Essie so it's not a surprise that I love Very Berry so much. :L
It's a pink with hint of purple undertones creme with great application. I added 2 coats and a layer of TC.

Btw... Essence really loves "Very Berry" name for polish - I can remember Very Berry from Jelly Baby Trend Edition, one from Show Your Feet Line and now even from Color&Go. xD

Weather is getting worse and worse so it's so hard to take great pictures. Need a light box - yes, but I'm so lazy to make one. :) We'll see. I hope there'll be lots of sunny weather so I don't have to worry about that for at least another month.

Hope you're having a great week!

Planks a Lot with Wild at Heart & Violet Orchid Microglitter

I got tipwear quite soon with Planks a Lot so I just had to do something to cover it. I wasn't in the mood for removing whole manicure, so I decided to do some sponged tips. If you're looking for a tutorial, I recommend you to visit The Polished Perfectionst and her great How To: Sponged Tips Tutorial. <3

I took Color Club - Wild at Heart and sponged it on nail tip going toward the cuticle and Kiko - #278 known as Violet Orchid Microglitter (violet foil glitter with a tiny duochrome effect) mostly on the tip of my nail. It's lighter as Wild at Heart so it gives it an extra sparkle, which was imposible to capture on the photo.

What do you think? Do you like these kind of manicures? I really like them and they're also great for hiding tipwear so you don't have to remove your manicure few more days. :)

I just couldn't stand my pointer being more oval as others so I shorten them today. Although it wasn't so obvious but my eyes always noticed it. :/

I hope you're having a great and relaxing weekend! It's so cold here so I stayed in bed for whole day yesterday and today - perfect weather for being lazy! :P

OPI - Planks a Lot

I'm soooooooooo tired. xo My school started this week and I have a feeling that I'll need to work 10 times harder than before. New faculty, new people, I don't know anyone... Totally new beggining for me. This week was even worse, with a tootache, lacking of sleep and all that stress about school - nah, I just need a loooong sleep to be normal again. :/

I had to put something on my nails, because I'm sure no one wants to see my stained nails, right? :D I choose Planks a Lot from OPI's Pirates of the Carribean Spring 2011 collection, which I got in my latest swap with Lynsey. :h I know it's a color from spring collection but this is a perfect fall color for me. :)

Planks a Lot is a dusty greyish lilac creme polish with great application. I added 2 coats and a coat of TC. I didn't like it at first when I applied it at night, but when I saw it on sun and daylight, I started to loving this shade. <3 It's not fotogenic, I'd say it's more grey in person. :)

Do you like it? What's your favorite from this collection? I really like this collection but the colors have nothing in common with Pirates. I expected more darker colors. :)

I hope you're having a great week! I got one really amazing package all the way from Canada again and I can't wait to take some decent photos of my new babies and one of my biggest lemmings ever. <3

Swap with Adeline from Pretty Lil Things

I got new babies in my mail the other day when I broke a tooth. After long sleep I woke up and found these. <3 I got them from Adeline from Pretty Lil Things - she blog about nail polish, beauty, fashion,... :)

Grape...Set...Match & Servin' Up Sparkle
Yap, Serena Glam Slam England duo set... I wanted Grape...Set...Match as soon as I saw it in person - slightly duochrome shimmery purple stole my heart. <3 Even Servin' Up Sparkle looks amazing in person, it has holographic hexagonal and tiny glitter inside. :L I'll probably use it for sponging french tips because it's more at the sheer side. Aren't these 2 amazing? :L

She even included 2 of new BM plates and her business card. :) I can't wait to try them. Adeline, thank you so much for all these pretties. :k

That's all for today, I might paint my nails tonight. :$

Tag: As Time Passes By

I just saw this tag at The Nailasaurus and because I've nothing new to show you for now, I decided to do it although I wasn't tagged by anyone but it looks so cool. :) I have more tags to come in future. :)

You just have to compare your first mani to the last one. :)

Essence (TE Cute as Hell) - Naughty but Nice
My latest mani on my nails was this one, now they're naked for almost a week. :$

Barry M - Strawberry Ice Cream & OPI - Teenage Dream
I don't like that big watermark and I had another phone back then (Samsun Omnia i900) but I was taking the best pics that phone could do - and I'm missing that phone sooooo much - I'll probably never find such amazing phone again - it was so ME <3 . Now I'm taking pics with my Sony Ericsson C905, which makes really great pics, sometimes I'm using Microsoft Office Picture Manager or Corel Paint Shop Pro X3 to get more color accurate pictures and I found a better place to take my pics - our bathroom, because it's always so bright there and of course our balcony where can I catch sunlight. And my nail lenght and shape changed, I've more square nails as before. I really need a new camera soon and I need to make a lightbox if I want to take pics of my nails during the dark and grey winter. :/

I love tags because I can always find lots of interesting blogs that's why I'm tagging:

I hope you'll do it too, it's super fun to see how much did you improve with your nails, nail care and pictures. What do you think when you saw your old pictures? :)

Oh, btw I broke a back tooth 2 days ago (I wanted to type a nail, which I wouldn't even mind in this case) while eating popcorn at 2 AM. With a lost piece of tooth and a toothache, I was so scared that night so I didn't even sleep, I was just waiting that dentist start working in the morning. Of course, I had to wait another 2 hours but thankfully my tooth will be okay. I hate dentists and while the best dentist moved to another hospital, I would rather see something else than breaking a tooth. xo And I won't eat popcorn for some time now - tiny popcorn that didn't "explode" I hate you. xo I still can't eat properly, I have a tiny tootache from time to time so I'm not really in the mood to do anything, just resting and sleeping. :$
Do you hate dentists? :D

I know lots of you love cats so I just have to share this little kitty with you. <3

This kitty is from Veri, my neighbour and a great friend. That's her mum's birthday present from her. :) He still doesn't have a name and I can't wait to be "kittysitter" to this cute little baby, when they won't be at home like I'm taking care of her 4 fish. <3

Thanks for reading! :rainbow
